Here Comes the Bride!


The recent newly-weds George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin, who married last week in Venice, step into the spotlight and feature on the special edition of Woman’s Day which hit news stands last week.


The happy couple exchanged vows on September 27th 2014 at the Aman Canal Grande resort, and had always planned to marry in Europe. George tells People Magazine “We met in Italy. We have a home there. We knew that was where we wanted to get married. Venice is the most romantic city in the world and we couldn’t think of a better place”

The 36-year-old wore a stunning custom-made off-the-shoulder Oscar De La Renta French lace wedding dress with a veil and George, 53, had his favourite designer, Giorgio Armani, create his tuxedo for the big day. Pictures below from Daily Mail Australia.


The couple we in front of approximately 100 guests including family friends and famous faces such as Matt Damon and his wife, Cindy Crawford and her husband, Emily Blunt and of course George’s best man Rande Gerber. Some absentee guests included Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts, Ben Affleck and the newlyweds Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.


George says “It feels pretty damn great!” talking to People about his thoughts on now being a married man. The pair are headed off on a quick honeymoon, ‘then we both go right back to work’ the actor says.


You could say George Clooney’s and Amal Alamuddin’s big day is now classed as the new wedding of the year!!
